“Hats” are Illustration Friday’s theme this week.

I watched “The Prestige” the other night, and felt, a little magic would be a fitting way to illustrate the hat theme. Perhaps, a little reverse prestidigitation might even be in order.

“The Prestige”, by the way, was a pretty good film. It was a dark, mysterious and suspenseful thriller, with great performances by Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale. Michael Caine and Scarlett Johansson also added wonderfully deft support to the complex story. Although it was a tale of magic during Britain’s Victorian age, the film’s true theme unfolded as a very clever and effective study of obsession and it’s inevitable toll.

So, if you like period pieces, sleight of hand and a couple of magicians that are easy on the eyes, you might want to give “The Prestige” a look.

Speaking of magicians, as for all those bunnies out there, who have been pulled out of hats by their tender little bunny ears, here is your revenge, at long last!
