21 day creative exercise-day 7

June 30, 2008

I spent all day art directing a photo shoot for a fine men’s clothing client’s catalog (say that three times.) I’m thouroughly enjoying myself, since this particular photographer, the stylist and I work really well together and have become fast friends. If there is a down side, it is that I haven’t had much time to sketch. I did manage to scrawl out this attempt at a forced perspective, monstery dude, in ball point pen.

I’ll be at the shoot for two more days, so I imagine there will be more scratchy, ball point pen scrawls to come.

He looks great. I have a thing for dragons. I guess he fits in that category. The ball point pen looks fine. It’s just good you had one so you didn’t skip a day of the challenge. Love your art :o)

Great sketch & perspective. I enjoyed visiting your site. I’ve only recently fallen in love with dragons & submitted my first ever one to IF for “fierce”.
I like your idea of challenging yourself–I think I need to be challenged on extreme perspectives, so, maybe….
    Linda Too!

I think it would be wonderful to make scratchy ballpoint pen drawings like that! I have the heart of an artist but no talent 😦 The perspective is great!

Great perspective! It seems that nothing is destroyed, he must watch his steps very carefully! Good dragon!

Is that smoke from all of our fires in California? Dang, it’s getting depressing…all those dragons and other critters with nowhere to go. I’m on stand-by to see if a friend in Carmel Valley needs to evacuate her home. Your dragon is a blessing to see at the end of my crazy day 🙂
