propagating adrift

February 22, 2010

Let’s see. How does the above image illustrate this week’s Illustration Friday theme, propagate?

Does it have anything to do with this?
1 : to cause to continue or increase by sexual or asexual reproduction.

Ummmm, nope.

Does it illustrate this?
2 : to pass along to offspring.

Hmmm, I don’t think so.

How about this?
3 : to cause to spread out and affect a greater number or greater area : extend.

No, I’m afraid not.

Oh! I remember now. I did this illustration for last week’s adrift.  Silly me.

Guess I better get working on something for this weeks prompt, eh?

With a jacket on his back,
And when this fairy ship set sail,
    The captain he said, “Quack!”

Really great. It looks like the duck wants to forge ahead, the bear isn’t too sure about their direction and the bunny is too sick to care. I’m the bear type.

What a great crew! Too bad for bunny, I understand just how he feels. It can be kind of hard to stomach all that movement. Duck’s hat is a tad big, but he sports it quite well nevertheless, LOL!

    Sheer genius, as per usual.

… more I look at this illustration more I like it, it would be perfect for the wonderful story “The 13 1 / 2 Lives of Captain Bluebear” written by Walter Moers 😉
