SkADaMo Day 30 – Last Day!!

Wooooo hoooo! We did it, y’all!

Wouldn’t you know, my last sketch would be the most rushed. I’m out the door right now. But I wanted to thank each and every person who stopped by to root me on this month! You just can’t know how much that helped me. I feel like I’ve gotten my mojo back!

I also want to thank all the talented, inspiring bunch of sketchers who joined me in SkADaMo! This year was much enriched by everyone’s participation and cheerleading for each other! You all rock!

So, of course, since I’m a glutton for punishment, I think I’ll do HoHoDooDa again this year. I hope my partners in crime join me again, if they can, they are busy talented ladies! Of course, anyone who feels the spirit move them can join as well.

SkADaMo Day 25

My lovely husband suggested hookah smoking reindeer as a sketch today. In order to keep it kid-friendly I made it a bubble hookah. Although I don’t imagine there is any such thing.

Oh no! I just “Googled” it and there IS such a thing! Still involves tobacco!

Well, ok, these health-conscious reindeer are making tobacco-free, candy cane flavored  bubbles with this hookah!

Ya know, for some reason, even though I realize they are different critters, “Muskrat Love” was playing in my noggin while I drew these guys. Something about “nibbling on bacon, chewin’ on cheese…”

Lately I’ve been feeling as if I’m moving at a snail’s pace… which wouldn’t be so bad, if it was this snail.

ZooooooooooooM!

This is a redo of a sketch from years ago. Tweaked it a bit and sketched it in digital pencil again, as opposed to the original, which was with my trusty mechanical pencil. Oh, and I killed two birds with one stone for Illustration Friday’s “Zoom.”

Actually, a couple of birds were killed with one stone (although no actual birds were harmed in the making of this post.) This is a seed for a PiBoIdMo idea. So, ya know, I’ve got that goin’ for me.
