Lately I’ve been feeling as if I’m moving at a snail’s pace… which wouldn’t be so bad, if it was this snail.

ZooooooooooooM!

This is a redo of a sketch from years ago. Tweaked it a bit and sketched it in digital pencil again, as opposed to the original, which was with my trusty mechanical pencil. Oh, and I killed two birds with one stone for Illustration Friday’s “Zoom.”

Actually, a couple of birds were killed with one stone (although no actual birds were harmed in the making of this post.) This is a seed for a PiBoIdMo idea. So, ya know, I’ve got that goin’ for me.

Slithering, slithy toves though they may be, I have a soft, squishy spot in my heart for snails. In fact, I rescue them from certain death whenever I see one crossing a wide expanse of sidewalk, heading for certain foot-stomping death by haters.

This little fellow is sporting the expression they often give me, as they bid me adieu and thank you, while slithering back into the bushes… to eat your plants… bwaaaa haaa haaaa!

Anywho, this is my take on this week’s Illustration Friday word, slither.
